We were having such a great time that we stayed and had dinner. First experience: I took my friend her for her birthday lunch. We ordered our food with family style in mind (we ordered a few dishes and shared) it's a great way to try more dishes. We loved all of the dishes we choose. We definitely needed to relax and cool down from working the Booth at the Boat Show.. decided to relax in the very comfortable lounge.. Juan came over to say Hi! It's been awhile.. I had a fall and have a broken wrist.. keeping me from my weekly Happy Hour routine at Proper Grit.. A very attentive young lady/bartender brought me a glass of water.. much needed on a very hot day.. I ordered a Cappuccino and their famous Chocolate Torte with creme anglaise .. absolutely delicious and just the right combination for me to continue working at the Show! Service with a smile from the entire team! Especially on a very busy day! I always highly recommend! 3/24/24-Palm Beach International Boat Show in full swing and taking a break from working the booth- love The Ben and Proper Grit! Randy is my favorite bartender! Sat at the outside bar enjoying the cool breeze and enchanting views... They had a limited menu today (Sunday) and I was a little disappointed the shrimp cocktail wasn’t on it.. I ordered the corn empanada -wanted to try it.. Randy is always attentive and hospitable! He described it to me and it sounded fabulous! Yes, it was absolutely delicious and a huge portion! A crispy flaky crust filled with very tasty corn and cheese.. They had a very talented guitarist playing - a perfect setting for a relaxing break from the Boat Show! I highly recommend!! This was my casual afternoon off on a quiet weekday.. Greeted warmly by the hostess and on a very cool afternoon, decided to sit outside overlooking the Yachts with my Puppy. Absolutely beautiful bar/ patio! Asacia, our server, quickly offered water bowl for my puppy and presented the menus. I ordered my Sauvignon Blanc and shrimp cocktail! The wine came out crisp and cold and the shrimp cocktail was amazing! 5 huge plump sweet cold shrimp with 2 different dipping sauces. One of the most delicious shrimp cocktail I’ve ever had.. Truly huge and sweet shrimp and both sauces were delicious. Saving room for dessert of course! The Caramel Popcorn Creme Brulee was calling me! Oh my goodness! Do not leave South Florida until you’ve tried this! Creamy custard and not too sweet. A brilliant combination!!! ”

“ Phenomenal Christmas Day Dinner dining experience. My parents and I had reservations for Christmas Day dinner this year and what a treat and celebration Proper Grit truly was! Upon being seated, we were warmly welcomed by our server who eagerly shared the specials and offered us drinks. We started with the hanging glazed bacon over cornbread and wow, you have to try it! The ambience was perfect for the holiday with exquisite background music and soft glow lighting that made the evening extra special. You can tell this is a place that has top of the line management and that no detail is spared! The men ordered the salmon, the colossal shrimp and gnocchi and we ladies went a little lighter with the shrimp cocktail and mushroom bruschetta. All was tantalizing to the taste buds! There were no leftovers and all plates were cleaned! As we were finishing up, the perfect touch of exquisite customer service was the manager (maybe his name was Ryan?) coming over to double check that our meals were satisfactory and that all went well with our visit. In this day and age that was a welcomed visit. You can tell this place is run top notch! “ Proper Grit exceeded my expectation in every conceivable way. The filet mignon was extremely tender, really didn’t need a knife to cut through it. It was cooked to perfection. The crispy red snapper was a beautifully designed dish. It was almost too beautiful to eat. The red snapper was perfect with a lightly fried exterior and and buttery textured interior. You can’t complete a meal without adding one of their fantastic cocktails. The service was world class and in a timely manner. I highly recommend anyone visiting Palm Beach to check out the Proper Grit. ”
